July 14th, 2008
As
some of you may have noticed the site's mod information section has
recently been overhauled. We've made it a bit easier to find stuff, and
given each release a page. These pages have planet lists and the logos
of the factions in them, which link to their unit lists (currently only
the first release has unit lists up, the later releases will get their
lists as we get closer to them).Empire of the HandImperial Civil WarFall of the RepublicWe'd like to welcome Frost to the team. Some people may remember him from the Venator and Munificent models he's made for us.There's
also a new render layout. This one is basically the same as the one
used by Petroglyph for Forces of Corruption, only it's blue and has
some other minor changes.

In
actual development news, Empire of the Hand is steadily approaching
completion. After it's done we'll be spending about a month for
thorough internal testing it so we can catch as much as possible before
the full public release, which at this point looks to be around
October/November unless something really bad happens, but no guarantees. And finally, some new sigs Dr. Nick made for your use. The background are transparant, so they'll work on any forum:

June 8th, 2008: Vision of the Future
Yesterday
officially marked the end of the second year in production.
In those two years, we've accomplished quite a bit. The completion of
Thrawn's Revenge: Empire of the Hand is just around the corner, and we
already have a very large amount of the art assets for Imperial Civil
War and Fall of the Republic completed, so rest assured that you will
not wait anywhere near as long for either of them as you have for
Empire of the Hand.
In
team news. First, I'd like to welcome Mr. Hobo to the team as a coder.
He will mainly be focusing on the Galactic Conquest scenarios, though
he will also be doing some units and heroes. Two more team members
from yesteryear have also returned, Nezill and InsaneGolfer. For those
who do not remember them, Nezill is a skinner, and InsaneGolfer is a
coder. Both had to take LOAs last year due to school.
Click the thumbnails for full-size pictures.
Planet models from Sci-Fi Meshes, Thrawn's Revenge Venator, Munificent and Tri-Fighter by Dr. Nick.
The unit lists for all three factions in Empire of the Hand
have also been moved from the Admiral's Lounge into the Member forum.
I'm, working on making faction pages on the website,m which will
hopefully have complete unit lists with armaments, fighter complements,
etcetera for R1 by July. The unit list for Imperial Civil War will soon take its place in the Admiral's Lounge.Nezill has made another signature for the forum users:

It can also be found with the other signatures and wallpapers on the
media page.

May 24th, 2008: Specter of the Past
The mod has made a lot of progress since the last update. Part of this
progress is the completion of Dr. Nick's space effect enhancements, and
my weapon retooling, which were both described in previous updates as
well as on our website's general information page.
While we are still working out small issues that have cropped up in
these projects, as well as making a few more general improvements, the
main objectives have been achieved, and we are able to shift our focus
back to other parts of the mod. Some of the results of these two
projects can be seen in the screenshots near the bottom of this update.
In
addition to this, space units and heroes are more or less finished. The
only incomplete things in this area are Lando Calrissian's Lady Luck, the Hand of Judgement's Gillia, and three Empire of the Hand ships that require skins.
Click the thumbnails for full-size pictures.
Effects screenshots and Aargonar's nature settings.
In
team news, we'd first like to welcome RedCommodore back to the team. He
was one of the original members of the mod as a mapper, modeler and
coder, so some of our older fans may remember him, and he is now
returning to do the odd bit of work, and in time to allow me to use a
relevant book title in an update. We'd also like to welcome Ca3ba to
the team as a tester. He was hired partly due to two reviews he wrote,
one for each minimod. If you have not read them, then they can be found
here for the Fall of the Republic Minimod and here
for the Galactic Civil War v2 Minimod. We've still got room for one
more tester, and one more mapper who is able to make high quality land
and space maps for skirmish and Galactic Conquest using the EaW:FoC map
editor. To apply for the tester position, email ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com
explaining why we should hire you, and email the same address for the
mapping position with examples of your work. For anyone who's already
applied for the testing position, don't worry. This doesn't mean you
won't be accepted. That's all for this month, I can almost guarantee that the next update will be on either June 7th or 8th. -Arbiter
April 5th, 2008: Things About Stuff
Hello people. Sorry about the lack of the final two March updates,
however I had intended to turn them into one update and post them on
the 31st. Had my motherboard not gone and fried itself, requiring the
replacement of nearly every part of my computer I would have done so.
So, to everyone who's been complaining about the late update, consider
yourself lucky to get this one. You almost didn't.
In terms of
news, this update will have a lot more than previous updates. The first
bit is that we will no longer be doing weekly updates. There are 2 main
reasons for this. the first is we have to get the renders of everything
done, and I have to write them. One update every month is fairly simple
to do, even if you have virtually no time, but five can get hectic. The
second is they contained no actual information, and were therefore
pointless.
We would also like to welcome Ahdanakh to the team.
He joined the team about a week ago, and fills the previously empty
composer position. This means that each faction will have it's own set
of songs for everything from the galactic map to battles, as well as
each release having it's own theme song for the menu screen.
In
community news, we have created a skype chat room for our forum members
to talk in real time with other members and the team at the urging of
some members of the forums. This is in no way compulsory, but it's
there for anyone that wants to use it. For more information, register
on our forums
and check the topic in the member's only forum entitled Community Chat
Thingy. This is an especially good thing for anyone who wants to be a
beta tester.
As for actual development news, as many of you
already know, Dr. Nick is (still) working on improving the graphical
effects in the game, such as turbolasers, skydomes (or rather,
spacedomes), explosions, etc. Qui0Jinn, Enceladus and to a lesser
extent, myself, are also very close to completion of the land maps for
Thrawn's Revenge: Empire of the Hand. At this point, I believe there
are somewhere around eight or nine left. Fuzzy.Wazzy is currently
working to finish off the concepts for the Empire of the Hand building
and land unit sets. I am currently working mainly on a weapon retooling
project, basically meaning I'm redoing almost every space weapon and
hardpoint in the game to be a bit more canon. For example, we now have
single, dual, quad and octuple turbolasers, ranging from Medium to
Heavy. We will probably be releasing a chart for each faction,
detailing which ships will have what to the Admiral's Lounge soon.
This
month, we have the LAAT, modelled by Dr. Nick, as well as Commenor and
Kuat, both of which were mapped by Qui0Jinn. As usual, closer shots of
both maps can be found in the Member's Only forum.

That's all for now, may have another April update, but then again we may not. Beta testers will be chosen soon.

March 11th, 2008
Hey people, not much to actual news this week, so we'll go straight to
the renders. This week is two of the Republic's heavier land vehicles,
the AT-TE and AT-HE.

We're also still in need of more mappers. If you're interested, email me at ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com
-Yub Squadron

March 5th, 2008
I know I said this update was going to be posted on the first,
but then thats what you get when you trust dates given to you by mod leaders;
the moral here being don't do it.
First I'd like to welcome Qui0Jinn to the team as a mapper. He joins Enceladus
and myself, bringing the total mappers on the team up to three. I've also
received several PMs, emails and other things asking why there are so few
screenshots in the screenshot gallery on the site, and where they can see more.
The answer to the first part is we're working on that. There should be at least
a dozen more by the end of next week. The answer to the second part is we have
several (currently 106) screenshots in our members only section. We also have
unit lists, map screenshots, planet lists and several other things there. If you
want to see those, register at our forums. (it is free and takes five seconds.)
This week we've got more map layouts for you. Umika and Millayna, both mapped by
Arbiter. (Neither is anywhere near as flat as the overhead shots make them look)

We're still in need of more mappers. If you are interested in the position and
able to create good land and space maps, email me at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com with
examples of your work.
-Yub Squadron

February 23rd, 2008
Hey and welcome to the fourth and final February update of 2008.
First thing, we really need more mappers to help me and Enceladus map the
planets and skirmish maps for all releases. If you have experience with the map
editor, apply
here or email me at Thrawn's
Revenge@gmail.com with examples of your work. Land maps are preferable.
Some more stuff from Fall of the Republic this week.

We've also prepared a bit of Q/A for this update. Yes, we got this idea from
AoSW a week or so ago, but since the AoSW staff and ThrRev staff have pretty
much the same people on it, we'll all live.
Q: How many planets are in the mod
A: Release One has 64 planets, including several from the original game, however
almost every planet has been remapped, with the exception of Bespin. The maps
are now much bigger. By the final release, there will be roughly 170 planets in
the mod.
Q: What is this Admiral's Lounge you mention in some
updates?
A: The Admiral's Lounge is a section on our forums for active posters. It
contains lots of unreleased information, renders, unit lists, etc.
Q: When are you releasing?
This is an example of something you'd find in the Admiral's Lounge.
Q: What will the population cap be in the mod?
A: 85 for space, 20 for land.
Q: Will the Yuuzhan Vong and Hapes Consortium ever
be playable factions?
A: Stay tuned.
Q: How many mod team members are there?
A: There are currently 10 people on the development team, and 3 people on the
testing team.
Q: Can I be a tester?
A: You can apply at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com, or on our forums.
What criteria do you use when deciding what
units/heroes to include/exclude from the mod?
1. Would it be useful?
2. Is it unrealistically powerful/large/unbalanced?
3. Could we accurately represent it ingame?
4. How canon is it?
Q: Can i suggest a unit/hero for the mod, or have
you already decided on all the content?
A: We've already written up unit lists, but these are never completely final, so
if you have any suggestions we'd love to hear them, just don't be insulted if
they don't make it in.
Q: Are you going to be adding in more music and VO's?
A: Yes. For example, the Fall of the Republic minimod we released had new VOs
for Grievous. We currently need some people to help do the VOs for units and
heroes, so if you'd like to try out for that email me at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com
Are ships going to be realistically scaled?
For the most part. They won't be 100% realistic, but they're be as close as we
can get them unless they take away from the gameplay.
Thats all for this week. March First is layouts of Umika and Millayna.
-Yub Squadron

February 18th, 2008
Heylo and welcome to the third part of the February update. Over the next few
weeks I'll be adding a few more pictures to the screenshot section of the site,
and a few more in the Members section of our forums. Other than that there is
not much actual news this week, but in the next few updates there will be some
very significant news, however some of it will be going up in the Admiral Lounge
later today.
This week we have two more map layouts; Sullust by Chaosredsock and Nal Hutta by
Enceladus.

Finally, we need one more mapper, and one more coder with past experience making
Galactic Conquest scenarios. If interested, PM me on our forums, post in the
recruitment thread on our forums or email me at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com
-Yub Squadron

February 10th, 2008
Hello, welcome to the second update of February. No team announcements this
week, so we'll get right into it. Just a small update this time.
First is a layout of Endor (mapped by Enceladus), second is a render of the
Empire of the Hand fighter carrier.

Finally, we need one more mapper, If you are interested, email me at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com or apply
on our forums.
Next week is Sullust and Nal Hutta along with some actual news,
-Yub Squadron

February 3rd, 2008
Sorry for the late update (again).
First we'd like to welcome Ages of Star Wars to the site. They replaced GU as
our site buddy seeing as it is lead by our Modeller/Skinner/Animator Dr. Nick
and our Skinner Kalo, as well as having Enceladus, Daft, and myself on their
team, so we mix together pretty well.
Now, the renders. These are both some mid-level Rebellion units... The first is
the Alderaanian War Frigate and the second is the Nebulon-B2 Escort Frigate. We
decided to go witha different kind of layout for these, so tell us what you
think.

Thats all for this week, next week is some ingame screens of EotH units and
Endor.,
-Yub Squadron

January 26th, 2008
Yellow people and welcome to the third (and final) January
update.
First I'd like to welcome Junot to the team as a tester. He will be the
final addition to the Testing Team before we reach beta stage, so you
still have time to get in your applications if you haven't.
Dr. Nick has been and will continue to be working on improving the
weapon and explosion effects in the mod with the assistance of myself.
This includes new projectile particles, explosion particles, and
several other things. The two of us will also be focusing on improving
the stuff already ingame that needs it, while the rest of the team
focuses on getting the new stuff else in.
This week we'll be showing the five levels of the Empire of the Hand
space stations. the concepts were made by Fuzzy Wazzy, the models by me
and the skins by Nezill.

Thats all for this week, next Saturday is renders of some Rebel ships.
-Arbiter

January 22nd, 2008
Yellow. Sorry about the
late update, but I had to go to a wedding on Saturday, got home on
Sunday and then worked on a project on Monday. The next one should be
up on time this Saturday.
In team news, Fuzzy.Wazzy has returned from his hiatus, and Nezill has
informed the team that he will most likely be back in action around
March. they were absent due to personal and educational reasons, so
welcome back Fuzzy and see you soon Nezill.
The first thing today is the layout for the Kashyyyk GC map. As you may
be able to see from the pictures, wroshyr trees have been scaled up and
now cover the area of a small forest. The second image in a render of
the B1 Battle Droid, the main infantry unit of the CIS.

-Yub Squadron

January 12th, 2008
Yellow people. This is the
first of the weekly updates that we will be doing almost every Saturday
this year. These updates won't be quite as big as the monthly ones in
2007, but over the month there'll be about the same amount of content.
Some of you may have noticed the recent update to the site. This has
been in the works for a while now, and so far has resulted in
the addition of a staff page, a render gallery, a screenshot gallery
and a planet layout gallery. The factions page, which you can get to
through the information page will be updated with links to pages with
faction descriptions, unit lists and some other information as we
complete them. We would also like to welcome Satan's Spartan and
Enceladus to the team as mappers.
This week we have two new planet layouts for you. Nkllon, which was
mapped by Chaosredsock and will be in Release Two and Thyferra which
was mapped by Enceladus.

-Yub Squadron

December 29th, 2007
Hello and welcome to the second part of the December update.
The first thing here is the release schedule, which has been changed.
The old plan was just finish the mod, then have a month of beta testing
from only our testers, then release. The new plan is to finish it, test
for a week just in the team and testers, take the time we need to fix
those, then release it to the Admirals on our forums (people with over
125 posts). After that, we'll use their feedback to polish it more,
then release to everywhere else. This process may be repeated for
Imperial Civil War and Fall of the Republic depending on how it goes
this time.

And finally, some of the clones that will be in the mod. In game, the
generic phase one and two clones will be used for all battles, however
you can buy the leaders of some other divisions and get a squad or
three of their clones with them. The Coruscant Security clones will
spawn on Coruscant.

Also, we are still in need of a skinner, one or two voice actors and
some mappers. Email us (email address is on our home page. If you're
reading this on ModDB then there is a link to our homepage in our
profile. Just click the big logo) for more information. We are also
still accepting applications for beta testers. Email us or post in the
recruitment thread on our forums.
-Yub Squadron

December 15th, 2007
Yellow,
I'll start this off by saying we've added two new mirrors for the Fall
of the Republic minimod on the downloads page. The minimod is now
available from EaW Filefront, as well as a new filefront link to a zip
file, as it was requested by many people. The new links are on the FotR minimod page on the site.
Next, I'll explain some of the more gameplay related changes we've
made. One of the major ones would be the shipyards. Each faction has
three different shipyard types: Capital, Heavy Frigate, and
Corvette/Light Frigate. There is also a fourth type, the Heavy Capital
shipyard, however they are only used by a few factions, and are not in
skirmish. Each different shipyard level can only be built on certain
planets; Light Frigate/Corvette Shipyards are buildable on all but the
most backwater planets such as Helska IV, Heavy Frigate Shipyards are
buildable mainly on highly, populated, industrial or important planets
like Xa Fel, Mechis IV, Corulag and Bothawui. Capital shipyards are
only available on planets that canonically have shipyards, such as Mon
Calamari, Kuat, Fondor, Bilbringi and Sluis Van. These are limited even
further by the type of ship, for example Kuat may be able to support a
capital shipyard, but this is pointless to the Rebels, as their capital
ships are all fishtanks, and require Calamarian crew.
The next one is the popcap. I've mentioned a raised popcap before, but
we've never given an exact number. With the 4x larger maps, we needed
to have more units to populate them, seeing as in FoC the pop cap
seemed way too small even with the smaller maps. On land, the
population cap is now 20 for all planets, and in space there is not yet
a set number, it fluctuates between 70 and 100, and we will continually
be adjusting it to what we feel works best. For lower end machines, we
will be releasing a patch with a lower pop cap, probably between 40 and
50.
Next we have a few ingame pictures of the three Golan platforms, and a
small Rebel task force. Click for full size images.

And a skinned render of the Warlord.

And some news on the site. I'd like to get a bit more information and
other stuff on it in the near future. I'm currently working on adding
unit lists to the different factions on the factions page. When I'm
done, each of the logos will link to a page with a description of the
faction and a unit list. I also plan on getting an image gallery put on
the site, however this will have to wait until Nezill is back in action.
Finally, we are in desperate need of skilled mappers. If you would like
to apply, then email me at
ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com .
S'all for now,
-The Thrawn's Revenge Team

11/17/07
Well guys, here
it is. The moment you've been waiting for. Tonight is the release of
the Fall of the Republic Minimod and the second version of the Galactic
Civil War Minimod. They can be found in the downloads section of the
site.
Please report any bugs you find in the tech support area.
Also, we're still accepting beta tester applications. Email me at ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com
or apply in the recruitment section of the forums.
-Yub Squadron

10/31/07
Hey people, not quite sorry for the delay. We did plan it like
this after all. We'll start with the bad news:
1. The minimods (Galactic Civil War v2 and Fall of the Republic) are
not quite finished yet. Don't worry, we're almost there, just a small
amount of stuff we have to do. You can expect tham in early November.
2. Kalo has joined the team as a skinner. (Just kidding. This is
actually horrible news.)
3. Nezill is still insanely busy. This means that another month goes by
without a signature, wallpaper, or more importantly, his awesome skins
or an update to the site, seeing as the only website editing tool I
have is Frontpage '97.
However, the good news is that we're still working and making up for
most lost time that the start of school and other responsibilities
caused. Fuzzy is back and concepting and Dr. Nick is back and rigging.
Also we've nearly completed every EotH building - both space and ground
wise.
The content of this month's update was chosen through a series of
polls. These are the winners:

The Bothan Assault Cruiser skin is a Work in Progress.
For the map pictures, please view
the update on our forums.
And you people thought we weren't going to update.
Happy Hallowe'en,
-Yub Squadron
PS. A prize for whoever can find my name on the Syca map.

9/13/07
Yellow,
First, we have a few team changes that need mentioning:
Adthrawn has left the community, including the team so we are
(yet again) looking for another mapper to help me complete the land
mapping.
Noret has joined the team as a coder and model exporter, so welcome to
the team Noret.
And finally, one of the original team members, Ben, is rejoining the
team as a beta tester.
I would also like to mention that we are still accepting beta tester
applications those who are interested can apply in the thread in the
recruitment section of the forums, or email us at ThrawnsRevenge AT
Gmail DOT com.
Now, renders.... If members check the members only section, they should
find Jerec's animations.

For screenshots, view
the update in our forums please.
No new sig or wallpaper this month though, sorry.
-Yub Squadron

8/16/07
Yellow.
A fairly large update today. First off, we have a new staff member,
Adthrawn. He is a mapper, and is currently working on the Tatooine land
map, so welcome to the team Adthrawn.
We have also reopened beta applications. If you would like to be a beta
tester, email ThrawnsRevenge@gmail.com (subject: Beta Tester ) with
your application, or post in this thread. Please follow the format of
the example application in that thread. applications will stay open
until Thrawn's Revenge: Empire of the Hand reaches beta stage, which
isn't that far away.
Next, the renders. The skins on the MC80 wingless type, MC90 and MC80b
are all placeholders until we can finish the final skins for them, as
it is they are editted versions of the Mon Calamari Cruiser that is in
EaW. Also, the Ascendancy has been redone (see below) we all greatly
prefer this version to the old one.

We are also in need of another mapper or two. If you are interested in
the position, post here with examples of your work.
Lastly, Nezill has made another wallpaper and signature.

and the wallpaper can be found in the media page.
-Yub Squadron

7/23/07
Yellow, sorry for the long gap between updates.
First off, we're still working on the trailer, so it won't be in this
update. Nezill has added several wallpapers to the media section of the
site, which he has remade for those who haven't noticed. We're
currently almost done with space in R1, and getting close with land.
Then we will be finishing off the other features and redoing whatever
needs it. Slornie, Willy Wonka and Wal-Mart Shoplifter are the beta
testers.
We would like to welcome Fuzzy.Wazzy and Daft_Vader to the team as a
concept artist and a rigger respectively.
First off, this is a render of Delta Squad. From left to right, Fixer,
Scorch, Boss and Sev. Modelled and Skinned by Dr. Nick.
Click here to see it. Image is very high rez.
Next, the animations for Delta. Boss, to be specific, also by Dr. Nick.
Boss animation video.

7/12/07
Yellow. This isn't really a full update, it's just to show
we're still back here working. What do I mean by back here? No idea.
Anyways, we're still working on the trailer and putting some finishing
touches on other stuff we want in it. At this point we're a little bit
of coding away from finalizing the Rebellion space units, so we may
release a unit list for them soon, with the Empire's space units not
far behind them, and EotH trailing a bit behind that. While some of us
are wroking on getting stuff done for the trailer, others are working
on fixing up minimod bugs.
Just Keeping ya updated, now heres a video of the battle droid
animations. Model, skin and animations by Dr. Nick.

Hello all, as you can probably see, we have a new website!
With the website comes some forums downtime as we re-install them. The
delay is beacause the team member in charge of that has disappeared for
a couple days (to where, we don't know), hopefully he will be back
soon.
There are some wallpapers up in the Media section as a little treat
along with the new website, they feature some never-before-seen ships
and come in a variety of sizes to meet all your desktop needs. The
media section will be updated at a later date when we have some ingame
screens prepared. Also, if you didn't catch the renders from the last
update you can still catch them in the older news section.
A link to the mini-mod can now be found in the 'Downloads' section of
the website. Please do not hesitate to inform of us any bugs you
encounter, we and our beta testers do not find everything! (once the
forums are up of course, but if the bug is a major one, e-mail us)
-Nezill
6/23/07
Hello all. A while ago we posted a poll on what you wanted to
be in an update, and the Empire of the Hand won with 39% of the votes,
and a trailer following that with 13%. Therefore, this update will
focus mainly on the empire of the Hand.
First though, there have been a few changes to the staff. We would like
to welcome Darth dino to the team as a coder, and Nezill to the team as
a skinner. Since joining they have both been a great help in the
development of the mod. Tyrant has also joined the administration staff
as a coleader. Congratulations to him on his promotion, keepup the good
work!
We have also completed the minimod's full version. We would like to
thank everyone who reported bugs from the public beta. This version has
fixed many bugs and errors, as well as replaced a few skins with much
better ones.
Download the Minimod
Now, for the renders.
And finally, this is a Chiss and planet in the unknown
regions, mapped by Arbiter.
I'll be posting a galactic map featuring the planets we have
shown in the general discussion area soon as well.
The next update in July will most likely feature a trailer for the
Empire of the Hand.
Regards,
Yub Squadron
-June 7th 2007 Birthday Update
Yep, that's right. Today the mod turns one (1) year old.
As in just about every other update, we will be showing pictures, but
first we have a few things to mention.
First off the minimod. The minimod will only only be linked to from our
forums for about a week, this way we can make sure we have everything
rooted out, and then on the fourteenth I will submit it to filefront
and post the link in the other threads we have. Keep in mind this is
just a minimod, not the whole thing. Many skins and models in this
release will change before the final release of Empire of the Hand.
Before you start downloading, I suggest you finish reading the update.
If you encounter any bugs, please post them in the tech support forums.
Download
Thrawn's Revenge v0.5
PS.You download and install at your own risk. For EaW, not foC.
Next, a bit of a Thrawn's Revenge: Empire of the Hand development
status update:
We are nearly done modelling and rigging for this release, with coding
and voiceovers following close behind. However, skinning and mapping is
going much slower due to our lack of skinners and mappers. We aim to
have this version in beta stage near the end of the summer, assuming we
get at least one mapper and skinner (Do not quote me on this, it's just
an estimate).
Now, the renders...
First off we have the CIS Munificient.
(The CIS logo and stripes will be done as team colour)
Next is the CIS Recusant.
Next is the Republic AT-RT
Now the Death Star Prototype
Eclipse
Wild Karrde
Eta 2 Actis Light Interceptor
Errant Venture
Nebula Class Star Destroyer
That's all for now,
Yub Squadron

As much as I'd like to have a link to the minimod for you right now, I
can't say that I do. We are very, very close to completion, which
brings up this next point.
We are currently short of our beta tester needs. This is due to the
dissappearances of Videoteck, SWLovr and DragonShadow. Also,
InsaneGolfer recently joined the team as a coder, so congrats to him,
as well as the rest of the team's condolences. Therefore, we willagain
be searching for one more beta tester, though we will not be picking
right away.
We also have a few more pictures for you.
We start off with Commander Cody, a Republic hero.
This was modelled by Dr. Nick
Next comes the B-1 Battle droid, also modelled by Dr. Nick.
And finally, the CIS scout bike, the STAP, again modelled by Dr. Nick
(don't worry, there will be a droid on it).
We have recieved some complaints that we seem to be focusing only on
Fall of the Republic (AKA R3). This is not true. Dr. Nick is mainly
focusing on the Fall of the Republic, though he is modelling some
Imperial Civil War (AKA R2) and Empire of the Hand (AKA R1). Meanwhile,
I am focusing mainly on Empire of the Hand, specifically the... Empire
of the Hand, actually. RedCommodore should be returning to the team
before the 20th and helping me finish off the R1 models.
For those who haven't heard, we are adding another release. This
release contains.... wait and see Wink. However, I will tell you that
it contains three playable factions and Admirals already know what it
is, and what they are. Don't worry, this will not interfere at all with
the development of Empire of the Hand, Imperial civil war, and Fall of
the Republic though it will tie up some loose ends and expand on R1-3
material.
Lastly, exactly one month from today the mod will have it's first
birthday, so check the forums for that.
Happy 11 months and counting,
The Thrawn's Revenge Team

-April 14th, Hosting.
As you can see, Thrawn's Revenge is back up. We were down due
to somebody wiping the hardrive over at Gamesmod, and then the death of
gamesmod. We are now hosted with our sister mod, Galactic Uprising. Our
forums are running from the point they were last backed up, March 18th
2007 so all posts and registrations after that have been lost, sorry
for any inconvenience this may cause.
Regards,
Arbiter
March 22nd: Well Hello There Part Two
Hey everyone, this is the second part of this poll, so if you
haven't voted in it yet, please do. First option to ten votes wins
stick out tongue . That update will most likely contain the download
link for the minimod, as well as the new site design I've been working
on with the help of Frontpage templates. This time complete with more
than two pages!
Now, for the renders.
This ship functions as the Ssi-Ruuvi's fighter carrier, though it
actually makes the fighters itself, much like the Varkrey-Class for the
Empire of the Hand. With only three turbolasers, this ship should not
be joining the Shree class vessels on the front lines, but is better
off kept near the edges of the battle with some support.
The Golan One was developed near the end of the Galactic Republic, used
mainly to defend planets with shipyards, or other important planets
such as Coruscant. It is the first in the Golan Series, the rest of
which can be seen in a render pack available in the forum store.
Developed by Grand Admiral Zaarin, the TIE Defender was the Imperial's
answer to pretty much every fighter in existance. It was armed with
lasers, an ion cannon, and concussion missle launchers.
The E-Web turret is an Imperial mobile anti-infantry turret manned by
stormtrooper teams. These were deployed by the Empire at Hoth, and
takes a fair bit of time to set up.
We are also looking for another mapper, and one or two more coders.
Anybody interested in the position, please apply in the Recruitment
Section.
- The Thrawn's Revenge Team
February 22nd: Well Hello There
I know, we haven't had an update for a long time. This is part one of 2
updates.
The recent apparent inactivity was due to the team being extremely busy
trying to finish the minimod, and some other stuff.
A quick update on the minimod first. There are still a few maps and
skins that need rfinishing up, as well as a bit of coding and some
icons.
Once we take care of those, it will be sent out to our beta testers for
about a week of testing and bug fixing, after which it will be
availible for download. It will include 4 new Galactic Conquest maps, 8
new planets and redone planet maps of 8 other planets. A full unit list
will probably be posted in part 2 of this update.
Here is a list of the beta testersthat have been chosen for testing the
minimod:
Slornie
Darth Dino
Videoteck
InsaneGolfer
Starwarslovr23
Next off, we have some renders.
First, we have Delta Squad. This will be an extremely useful (and cool)
Republic hero when R3 comes around.
Next comes the ARC trooper, a Republic minor hero.
Then we have the AAC-1. This is tank for the Rebellion.
Now there is the UT-AT. This is one of the Republic's Artillery units.
Then we have one of the CIS's most powerful heroes, and his bodyguards.
And finally, our new Venator model. This was given to us by GU, which I
have been made leader of due to the resignation of the old leader.
Last, we have to say goodbye (at least temporarily) to Ben, AKA Grand
Admiral Makati. Prior to his resignation, caused by a homework
overload, he was one of the coleaders of the mod. He has been with the
mod since day 1, and will be missed.
